Belgium Wins at the Gourmand Award

Belgium is a world power in food and wine books. On May 20, 2006 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Belgium wins again, with two “Best in the World Gourmand Awards”.

The first award is for the magnificent book Fine Chocolate – Great Experience by Jean Pierre Wybauw, with photography by Tony Le Duc, publisyhed by Lannoo. This is an honour for Wybauw, a great professional who was named Chef of the Year by the Culinary Institute of America in 2002. It is the first time Belgium, one of the leaders in the chocolate world, received an award in this category.

"Golden ladle" as "Best professional Cookery Book" by the "World Food Media Awards" for the book "Fine Chocolates-Great Experience."

"Gourmand Awards 2005" as "Best Chocolate book in the World" for the book "Fine Chocolates-Great Experience"
